Meetings

 

Monthly meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m., at the Elmira Fire Station 6080 A Street Elmira, CA. All meetings other than the January meeting are open to any person interested in the welfare of our canine friends—no obligations!! All are welcome!!


January—is a meeting for the election and installation of officers, board or directors and the presentations of special awards. Please R.S.V.P to 707-469-3153 for reservations. It is held on a different date and location.


April—a short business meeting, with the balance of the meeting devoted to the final preparations for our April dog show.


Educational Programs are featured prior to many regular business meetings during the year, with a brief social gathering afterwards. Past programs include:

  • Fitness for overweight ant senior dogs
  • Presentation by our U.C. Davis scholarship winners
  • Search and rescue dogs
  • Introduction to Rally-Obedience
  • Introduction to Earth Dog Trials
  • Introduction to Therapy Dogs
  • Solano County Sheriff K-9 unit demonstration

Social Events during the year include our annual Christmas party, annual show work party, after show party, and other events throughout the year.
